Horizon BCBS: Designing clarity into an agentic AI platform

Problem: An agentic AI platform built for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield hospital staff was approaching launch, but the UX/UI needed tightening. With limited time left in the engagement, the team needed someone who could quickly identify high-impact improvements and get them into production.

Role: Product Designer — audited the existing experience, identified quick wins, and worked directly with engineering to implement them.

Team: Engineers, Management Consultants, Client Stakeholders

Outcome: Clarified the agent creation flow by reworking confusing terminology, and designed first-use guidance for selected agents — surfacing what file types each agent could process and giving users a clear starting point.
